Eastern bred Americana-Folk musicians PJ Bond and Billy Wallace will be bringing some of their of acoustic charm to the Midwest as they stop by Chicago on their current tour. Just a few dates into the tour, the New Jersey and Ohio singer/songwriters will be headed north next, then moving back toward the east to play Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey before finishing the tour in Virgina. The two will also be stopping by to record Pink Couch Sessions in Brooklyn for If You Make It during the tour.
In the past year both musicians have released new albums- Billy Wallace self-released his album The Road Spit Me Out on his own label, Uneasy Records, while PJ Bond released You Didn’t Know I Was Alphabetical with Black Numbers. With Wallace coming from The Wading Girl and Bond from such bands as Outsmarting Simon, Marigold, and Communipaw, these independent projects indulge the musicians personal taste for a simpler sound, one complete with slightly-southernwarbling vocals, harmonica, and lap steel.
