Things have been busy over at NO SLEEP RECORDS, where they’re churning out new albums, pressing great vinyl, and signing fresh talent as per usual. Here’s a heads up on three awesome things going on with No Sleep this week:
Recorded Kory Gable (Strike Anywhere, The Dangerous Summer), I Call Fives‘ label debut, Bad Advice is now available for Pre-Order from the No Sleep. The six-song EP will be released on May 25th, but pre-orders can download the tracks beginning on May 20th.
Everyone that places a pre-orders will receive $1 off the original price, not to mention a limited (500) custom postcard with a personalized note from the band as well as the instrumentals / acapellas of all the songs. Currently the band is streaming the songs “Two Days Or A Lifetime Of Failure” and ”Easy To Say States Away” on its Myspace page: www.myspace.com/icallfives
Finally, No Sleep has announced the signing of The Sheds, a California band that features three brothers and members as young as 14. The quartet recently recorded a demo track for the song “Cycles” with El Hefe (NOFX) and Jordan Burns. (Strung Out) that is now streaming on Myspace. The song will be re-recorded for the band’s 4-song debut on No Sleep which will be released at the end of 2010.
